Last month I participated in a hoop art swap that the lovely Heather of Life Made Lovely hosted.
I was partnered with Abbie from bright eyes + blue eyes.
Here is the hoop art I sent her.
And here is the one she sent me.
Isn’t it so happy? I love it. It makes me smile every time I look at it. And it has, literally, been the only sun around these parts since its arrival -it is flooding in Louisville. Rain, rain, rain. Which is why the picture quality is not great. Thunderstorms don’t lend the best lighting for photography. Just trust me when I tell you that it is bright and cheery!
And do you remember me mentioning the Kid’s Artist Trading Card Swap? Well Abbie (my partner from above) was the host of that swap. All of a sudden I’m feeling a need to host an art swap of some sorts…
Karston (he was the only one old enough) participated it the swap and loved it. He was in a group of seven kids so he got to create six miniature pieces of artwork.
Here he is creating.
And here are his finished pieces.
He then stuffed them all in their envelopes, and we went to the post office for him to drop them in the mail slot.
And then he waited.
And then he got mail. And that’s always a happy day.
Here’s a picture of the artwork he received (minus one that hadn’t made it in time for the picture).
I absolutely loved the art swaps. It was the first time I’ve ever done something like this, and it was a blast. I will be sure to participate in any future ones.
*My monthly post at At the Well was up last Friday. You can head over there to find out some of the things I use my fabric scraps for.

So glad you liked the hoop!
Take care -abbie
Also, so glad Karston enjoyed the ATC swap.
Hope you get some sun soon.
